"Nicola has been working with our daughter, who has been diagnosed with ADHD and ASD which significantly impacts her learning, for just over a month. Nicola conducted a full assessment before we started our sessions and pinpointed key areas to focus on. 

Just before our first session, the lockdown was imposed, and we had to switch to virtual sessions over video conference. Nicola has been flexible in her approach and eager to help find a cadence, plan and method that worked for us. At first, I was concerned that I would struggle to support my daughter appropriately during these sessions, but Nicola provided clear guidance and feedback during and after our weekly sessions as well as resources for each session.

Using the strategies and support Nicola has given us, I am able to confidently do OT with my daughter every morning for 20-30 minutes. These activities are fun and keep her engaged. Her strength, handwriting and focus have noticeably improved and we could not be happier with the results so far.

"Nicola has been working with our son, who has dyspraxia, low muscle tone and hypermobility in his hands and feet, over the past year.  She has been working with him across all areas of OT from his handwriting, self-care skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and core strength. During that time, our son has made unbelievable progress. "Nicky started working with our son when he was in nursery and continued when he moved on to Reception. He absolutely loved his sessions with Nicky and she was fantastic at pitching all the sessions at just the right level for him. She always managed to find the perfect balance between making sessions fun and interesting as well as targeting his specific areas of difficulty. Nicky always arrived for each session armed with a fantastic array of resources, games, puzzles and activities – our son was always so engaged in the activities he was completely unaware that his specific areas of difficulty were being targeted.

With Nicky’s input and support his fine motor skills improved tremendously as did his confidence in his own abilities. Not only did Nicky work with him individually, she also provided individually tailored programmes to work on at home and at school and was very helpful in

providing support to his Reception teacher regarding strategies and motivating tips.

Nicky also focused on providing support to our son with sensory issues and he now manages in large crowds and loud settings comfortably.

She was also instrumental in helping him to be successful at his first ever sports day, spending the time to target the gross motor activities that he

struggled with and helping to build his confidence so that he was able to participate and succeed on what would have otherwise have been a very difficult day for him.

Without a doubt Nicky is one of the best Occupational Therapists we have ever worked with. She is extremely skilled and knowledgeable and

Nicky's work with a child at our school has been transformative; the child's handwriting and motor skills have improved enormously and this has really positively impacted on her participation and achievement in literacy lessons and across the whole curriculum.
